We’re going to Japan on our honeymoon, that’s where we fell in love: Arjun Kanungo

Arjun Kanungo tied the knot with his girlfriend, Carla Dennis, in August, and now, finally, the couple is all set to take off for their honeymoon. When asked what took him so long to plan the special trip, he says, “I was busy working. There has been so much to do... I put out an album and did music tours in many cities.”

The singer reveals that he is super excited about his honeymoon because he will finally get a break from work. “We are taking off for 20 days. I am extremely excited about this because it is my first holiday in years. First, we are going to Hawaii as we’ve always wanted to go there. Later, we are going to Japan because it is a special place for us, as that is where we fell in love. Actually, Japan was the place where I wanted to ask her to marry me, but unfortunately, the borders were closed during the pandemic. So I thought that I could at least take her for our honeymoon to Japan. We love going there, we love the people, the places and the weather.”

So will he be serenading her with his popular songs on the honeymoon? He laughs and says, “I think she’s already sick of me singing. Maybe it will be better if we leave the singing to a non-honeymoon kind of setting.”

This year will also mark their first Diwali as a married couple. “Yes, Diwali this year is extra special for us because it is the first one after our marriage. Carla is planning the whole thing; it will be an intimate family dinner and a puja. She has decorated the entire house with flowers and lights. Her family is not here, and she will be spending Diwali with my family,” he shares.
