Pakistani singer Atif Aslam has been cast by Shoaib Mansoor in a movie called “Bol”. Atif Aslam had also planned to visit India this weekend, to promote his debut film “Bol” along with co-star Humaima Malik, but unfortunately they couldn’t make it. Instead, a special premiere of the movie took place first in Karachi, and later in Lahore on Friday evening.
According to sources close to Atif, “He was very excited to visit India for the promotion of his debut movie, unfortunately he couldn’t get his visa because of which his plans got cancelled at the last moment.
Atif has planned a special screening of the movie for all his close friends in Lahore.” The source adds, “I have been invited to attend the screening of the movie and I hear the reviews are good. Everyone in Pakistan is very excited to watch Atif act on the big screen for the first time.”
Atif has also reached out to his fans through blogging on a social networking site. He wrote, “I’m so glad that the youth is showing up at the theatre’s for “Bol” tickets. The major reason why I signed the film for no MONEY, Purpose served... ! NO masala, no crapy moves but the reality. Go and check it out. My association with a good project and a contribution to the awareness. (sic)” Unfortunately, Humaima, who is dating former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram did not have her boyfriend by her side during the premiere of
the movie. Informs Wasim Akram’s manager Arsalan Hyder Shah from Karachi, “Unfortunately, Wasim hasn’t watched the film yet, as he is in Canada for an event for two weeks, and later will be having a family reunion. Frankly, he didn’t go to the premiere because of his busy schedule.
He is also on a short vacation with his two sons Tahmoor and Akbar in Canada. Besides, Wasim plans to travel from Canada to London, where he will be attending an Islamic relief conference and then holding a one-day coaching session with his ex-teammate Saqlain Mushtaq.” Arsalan, who also manages Humaima, speaks on her behalf, “Information is that Humaima plans to travel to India early July.”
