Tulsi Kumar’s Delhi connect

Singer Tulsi Kumar – the voice behind songs like 'Tum Jo Aaye Zindagi Mein' from 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai' – has a strong Delhi connect. The daughter of Gulshan Kumar, Tulsi was born in Delhi and grew up shuttling between the capital and Mumbai, where half of her filmi family is based.
Tulsi also studied at Lady Shri Ram College here. “I used to keep flying back to Mumbai, since I had started working and singing for films when I was 19.I just managed minimum attendance in college and couldn’t participate in any musical extra-curricular activity or society either,” she says regretfully. However, even now, with her designer sister Khushali married to a Delhi guy, Tulsi’s visits to the capital remain frequent.
