With the world under Covid-19 pandemic siege, and everyone indoors, there is a marked surge in people turning to music streaming services and apps, to get their daily fix of entertainment. We spoke to the

lockdown
music.
Top artistes
Justin Bieber leads the popularity list. Less than a month ago, the singer had dropped his lockdown compilation 'Work From Home'. That apart, Justin's 'Yummy', 'Intentions' with Quavo and 'Forever' with Post Malone, have got a lot of love. The next on the list is the enigmatic Norwegian DJ
Alan Walker
with his permanent hoodie-facemask look. Alan’s EDM, electro house music has devoted followers here. His 'End Of Time' and 'Heading Home' have refused to budge from the charts in the last few weeks of lockdown. Singer-actress
Selena Gomez comes next with 'Feel Me' and 'Boyfriend'.
Top tracks and albums
The Latin-pop number 'Senorita' tops this one. After its release in June 2019, this Shawn Mendes-Camila Cabello song has not just gathered applause and love but also bagged multiple awards.
Armaan Malik's first English single, ‘Control’ is next, despite its lockdown release. It also got him on a billboard in New York's Times Square. Interestingly, Armaan’s already got a remixed version, ‘'Control Remix' by Rishab, Lost Stories. ‘Let Me Love You’ (Encore, 2016) by DJ Snake and Justin Bieber, apparently is a favourite during lockdown.
Among the top favourite albums are 'Señorita', 'Purpose (Deluxe)' and 'Encore' in that order.
