The new avatar of Vande Mataram

As India moves into its 66th year of independence, Veecon Music and Entertainment brings a special audio-video edition of the iconic song Vande Mataram in a new avatar.
The modern version of the song has been composed by music composer Bickram Ghosh. The special edition of the album was recently unveiled by MK Narayanan, governor of West Bengal, along with JK Srivastava, MD, Veecon Group, at the Raj Bhavan, in Kolkata.
“Veecon Group is extremely proud and happy to present the ‘evergreen song of freedom’ to the citizens of India as a humble tribute to our motherland. It is our ambition to take Vande Mataram to every nook and corner of India. All proceeds from the sale of this album will go towards the education of underprivileged children and children with special needs,” said Srivastava.
Infusing a feeling of patriotism and national pride , the album includes vocals by Sonu Nigam, Ustad Rashid Khan, Pandit Ajoy Chakarboty, Shankar Mahadevan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shubha Mudgal, Roop Kumar Rathod, Mahalaxmi Iyer, Indian Ocean, Palash Sen, Shaan, etc.
This new musical rendition will be telecast on Doordarshan today, right after the president and the prime minister’s address to the nation. It will also be played across all Indian airports.
