The name
B Praak is synonymous with
Akshay Kumar’s single Filhaal and with the song Teri Mitti from the actor’s historical war drama, Kesari, one of 2019’s biggest hits. His independent singles and film songs top the heartbreak playlists across the country today. Recently, he also revisited Teri Mitti with lyrics that pay homage to doctors, nurses and cops who are the frontline warriors of the COVID19 pandemic.
B Praak, while staying indoors during the lockdown, has kept himself busy with doing what he does best -- create music for his upcoming projects. Recently, his fans demanded to hear his voice on the song Sach Keh Raha Hai Deewana from Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein, which launched R Madhavan opposite
Dia Mirza in Bollywood. As a result, he created a cover version of Kay Kay’s soulful melody.
Talking to BT, B Praak said, “It just feels good to be bestowed by so much love from my fans. They had flooded my social media timeline with requests for Koi Faryaad from Tum Bin (originally sung by
Jagjit Singh) and Sach Keh Raha Hai Deewana. Both the songs are my favourites. My cover version of Sach Keh Raha Hai Deewana is my way of thanking my fans for their continued love and support. Kay Kay has sung the original song so beautifully that it’s etched in our hearts even years after it came out. I’m a fan of his singing.”
