Tanishk Bagchi compares Ahaan Panday to Rishi Kapoor; Recalls his intuition about 'Saiyaara' becoming a hit
Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's Bollywood debut film 'Saiyaara' is not only doing well at the box office but also receiving a lot of love online. Celebrities like Karan Johar, Shraddha Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Varun Dhawan have praised the duo on social media. Even the film’s composer, Tanishk Bagchi, can’t stop gushing about their impressive performance.
In an interview with News18 Showsha, composer Tanishk Bagchi shared that both Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda were present in the studio when the chartbuster title track of 'Saiyaara' was being recorded. So, what was his first impression of them? “The first time I met Ahaan was at Yash Raj Films when we were recording the title track. He’s a very humble kid. He doesn’t have the tantrums or the attitude of a hero. He’s also a brilliant actor. At that time, I didn’t get a glimpse of his acting chops but I liked his energy and presence, he revealed."
Strong Feeling About Ahaan and Aneet's Stardom
Tanishk Bagchi recalled telling Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda early on that he had a intuition feeling their film 'Saiyaara' would be a big success. He believed they had the potential to become major stars. Bagchi also offered them a heartfelt reminder — to stay grounded and not lose sight of their roots, as he has seen many rise to fame quickly and change, only to fall just as fast.
Tanishk on Seeing Ahaan Perform His Song on the Big Screen
He said it was a special moment for him to see Ahaan, “When I watched the film, I realised that Mohit sir ne usko jaise train kiya tha, usne waise hi kaam kiya. He followed his director through and through. They’ve that germ in them. I hope they keep their heads down and work hard. They’re very lucky to have found a teacher like Mohit sir right in their first film. Maine unko yeh bhi kahan ki tum log innocent bachche ho, toh uss baat ko maintain karke rakhna."
