Since China is a strong plot point of the film, the makers decided to take inspiration from one of the most magical moments on celluloid, inspired by China — the iconic 50s dance number '

Mera Naam Chin Chin Chu

' ('Howrah Bridge'), which was sung by Geeta Dutt and picturised on Helen.

The team of 'Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi' pays homage to this

song

, with a fun and colourful performance featuring Chinese fans, oriental dancers and lots of drama. Sonakshi and Jassie Gill have lent their voice to the track, which releases tomorrow on Eros’ online video-on-demand platform.

Talking about the new version, Sonakshi says, “It is indeed a privilege to dance on a song featuring Helen aunty. She is a class apart, so I cannot even think of copying her; all I did was enjoy myself to the peppiest number of Golden Era. I love how Mudassar Aziz (director) and Sohail Sen (composer) have added a Punjabi tadka to the song, making it very happy-go-lucky.”

'Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi' , presented by Eros International and Colour Yellow Production, and produced by Aanand L Rai and Krishika Lulla, releases on August 24.
