Sivamani 's lucky bandana

Percussionist and drummer Sivamani is a man of a few words, but immense musical talent. Sivamani, who has played drums for flicks like Rang De Basanti, Lagaan and Taal, was in town recently for a concert and we caught up with him for a few words. A unique thing about him – you will never find him minus his signature bandana. Ever wondered why?
We did and asked him.“For me, music is like a prayer. And I never play without my bandana. This is because of AR Rahman. Years ago, he had gifted me one, and that turned out to be lucky for me. Since that day, whenever I play music, I have been wearing a bandana,” Sivamani told us frankly. AR Rahman’s lucky for him, eh? Yeh raaz ab raaz kahaan!
