Singer Shilpa Rao goes desi

Shilpa Rao is someone who loves all things desi and at a time when celebrities are all for international brands, the ‘Subhanallah’ singer goes into the hinterlands and supports the works of designers from the interiors of India.
Though she has traveled all over the world, when it comes to music, food and fashion, she loves to come back to her roots. “I think there is so much talent in the interiors of India which is not being recognized.And it is us who can bring these artistes to people’s notice. I love how intricate and different their work is.” For a ghazal event in Bhgalpur, the singer wore a simple yet exquisite dress from a designer based in that city.
Shilpa who is known for her Ghazal events, feels overwhelmed to see so many young people getting attracted towards this genre of Indian music.
