Shiv Jayanti 2026: ‘Shivba Raja', ‘Ghamand Kar’; Songs to play in the honour of warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti brings renewed attention to the cinematic songs that celebrate the Maratha warrior king’s legacy whose principles of courage, justice and Swarajya continue to inspire generations. Bollywood and Marathi cinema have contributed several powerful tracks that honour his memory and let's take a look at a few of them.

‘Shivba Raja’ remains one of the most intense modern tributes. Sung by Avadhoot Gandhi and Devdutta Manisha Baji, the anthem appears in the 2022 Marathi historical epic.
