Shankar Mahadevan and Hariharan gorge on sumptuous food at a five star in Calicut

On Wednesday, visitors to a Calicut five star were treated to the priceless sight of musicians Shankar Mahadevan and Hariharan scarfing down an elaborate Vishu Sadhya, after which it was "impossible to move", Mahadevan told the diarist. In the city to perform together, Mahadevan and his "big brother, friend, philosopher and guide" walked into the hotel together and "attacked" the delicious spread, savouring sambar, mor kozambhu, three types of payasam, fried fish, Kerala-style chicken and more. The fare, of course, was followed by long nap, one which "Hari" was yet to wake up from, he told the diarist laughing even as he rushed to get ready for the show.
