Actress Tanya Maniktala, renowned for her roles in 'A Suitable Boy,' 'Tooth Pari,' 'Flames,' and more, has made a recent appearance in Arijit Singh's romantic ballad, 'Dil Haareya.' In an exclusive conversation with ETimes, Tanya shared insights into how she landed the song, her perspective on the meaning of romance, and even opened up about the first time she experienced the sensation of falling in love.

Spilling the tea on the first person to whom she entrusted her heart, Tanya left everyone in awe. The name she revealed needs no introduction, as he is a man who has held the admiration and love of people for decades. He is none other than the king of Bollywood, the Baadshah of hearts, Shah Rukh Khan.


“It was Shah Rukh Khan's smile that made my heart skip a beat! I really don't know what that meant but I was aware that, 'Kuch toh hua hai!' (something has happened)," shared Tanya.

The actress asserts that she could sense romance and love in the air even before fully understanding the meaning of the term. She expressed, "I have been a hopeless romantic without even initially grasping the true meaning of romance. I believe that the subtleties of getting to know somebody at a subconscious level, even without truly knowing them, encapsulate romance for me." “It is an inexplicable feeling of belonging,” she added.

Her belief in love and romance played a pivotal role in her decision to take on the song ‘Dil Haareya.’ Tanya shared, “As soon as the director shared the song and narrated the whole storyline, I knew I had to be on board."
