America’s biggest Indian rapper from New York, Brooklyn Shanti, along with Thor Partridge and music director Sohail Sen, have come together for Prateek Chakravorty’s From Sydney With Love. Recreating Shanti’s biggest hit Rani Rani as Pyari Pyari the track is an amalgamation of reggae and a dash of Bollywood composed music.
“Rani Rani was already a chartbuster in lounge and club circuit overseas and when I heard it, well, it was love at first sound,” Prateek smiles.

Prateek then connected with Brooklyn and asked him to re-work the magic of Rani Rani for his debut venture. Prateek says, “Brooklyn Shanti was all charged, more so because this was his first Bollywood project. Also, he was well aware of Pramod Films’ catalogue of great music and thus was born Pyari-Pyari which is a magical fusion of East and West, bound to collect cult status across the world.”
Prateek feels that music is the lifeline of any film. He explains, “It’s a crucial ingredient of a film. And it breathes oxygen to my cool musical fam-com. I am proud to say that the soundtrack of my film is a mix of versatile songs and represents different genres of music like rock, ballad, bhangra, hip-hop and even pure magical Bollywood love songs. This is what makes my film special.” Pramod Films’ From Sydney With Love releases in the theatres on August 31.
