Rahman's lead singe wants US-like venues in India
Singer Neeti Mohan has done more than 30 concerts all over the world with Oscar-Grammy winning composer A R Rahman at a very young age.
The girl, who has sung for two Disney films, and lent her voice to quite a few jingles as well as several daily soaps, recently sung live with Rahman for his first concert in India after the Oscars. Completely smitten with Rahman brand of music, she says: “Rahman’s sufi stains are all about touching the inner core of a human being.

I wish there are big indoor arenas in India like the US has because then the pleasure of hearing this spiritual music will grow manifold. We have recently done so many concerts abroad, and it always makes me sad that Indian venues are very small. I wish we could also develop grand infrastructure and those fabulous stages with the state-of-the-art lighting, which would give music and especially live concerts a new lease of life!”
