The entire nation is celebrating the auspicious occasion of Diwali and our celebrities are no exception. ETimes exclusively caught up with singer Raghav Mathur who is known for songs like 'Desperado,’ ‘Chingari,’ ‘Ishq Shava’ and more. In a candid conversation, he spoke about what makes this year’s Diwali special for him.
“This one is special in both a somewhat sad way as well as joyful. It’s the first Diwali since my father passed and we all miss and love him dearly," the singer shared.
Further, he added, “On the other hand, this past week Disney World asked me to headline their Diwali celebrations and my 7-year-old daughter got to experience her dad performing there alongside the real star, Mickey Mouse. Mickey dancing to my tunes gave me some serious credibility for my music with Riya. That was pretty unique and special, I’ll never forget it and hope it’s a core memory for her."
When asked what are the things that light up his life, he gave us the sweetest reply. “My daughter first and foremost and of course my loving family but right up there are the fans and media that have allowed me to make such a significant comeback this year. That love I will not be able to repay, I know I’m lucky for it. Thank you."
Raghav Mathur also had a sweet Diwali message for all his fans. "Be kind to one another, there’s just too much anger right now in the world," he concluded.
