Coming up with your best work can sometimes put additional pressure on you for your subsequent works! That’s precisely what’s happening with music director Pritam.
The ace composer who gave a chartbusting soundtrack for Abbas-Mustan’s last film Race, is now composing for their next directorial venture Players, the official remake of Hollywood hit The Italian Job.

And the director-duo is expecting nothing but the best from Pritam. Interestingly the benchmark which Pritam has to overcome is the music of Race.
A source close to Abbas-Mustan reveals, “The director duo is hellbent that Pritam comes up with his best for Players. After the amazing success of the soundtrack of Race, they are aware that comparisons on the musical front between the two films are inevitable. So now Pritam has taken this challenge that Players music has to outdo Race”.
The busy composer, on his part, has relinquished lot of work to meet the expectations for Players. “Pritam has been coming up with several tunes and sitting with Abbas-Mustan almost every alternate day to discuss what works for them and what doesn’t. In fact with multiple melodies, the directors are now in a dilemma on which tune to select”, adds the source.
Ask Pritam and he says, “I would love to work with Abbas-Mustan all my life. I have immense respect for them. Together we shall make sure that Players wins the musical race”.
