Phir Mile Sur, the generation 'now' song
A song that reflects the power of modern India, a tune that lingers in India’s glorious past and present, and lyrics that will make Indians gush with pride for generations — Phir Mile Sur, the song for secular India.
Two decades ago the original Mile Sur song had become an iconic song and video, which represented the patriotic fervour of a free nation.

After 22 years, the creators of the video, Aarti and Kailash Surendranath, have given us their labour of love with a new version — Phir Mile Sur. An idea by zoOm and the Times Group, in an effort to rekindle the patriotic passion in a brand new secular generation. Phir Mile Sur is packaged with new ideas, new promises and new blood — all representative of generation ‘now’.
Talking about this, Aarti says, “The current generation understands the language of rock and pop, so this is meant to be contemporary. Though every aspect of the video has social relevance, we have tried to simplify it to make it understandable. We have shot at places of historic and national importance where people haven’t ever shot before, and presented the icons the way they are and for what they are.” Catch the Phir Mile Sur video all day today, only on zoOm!
