Odia rapper Abhinav Singh found dead under mysterious circumstances in Bengaluru: Report

Odia rapper and engineer Abhinav Singh was found dead in his Bengaluru apartment in Kadubeesanahalli. The 32-year-old tragically died by suicide on Sunday night. A case has been registered at Marathahalli police station. He was working at a private company in the city.

Reports claim that Singh's family suspects his suicide was due to conflicts with his wife. Reports suggest he consumed poison after being troubled by allegations against him. After the post-mortem, his body was sent to Odisha for final rites. The police are investigating the case further.

Bengaluru police have returned Abhinav's body to his family, who have filed a formal complaint with the Lalbagh police. In the complaint, Abhinav's father, Bijay Nanda Singh, named 8 to 10 individuals and called for a detailed investigation. The family also alleges that Abhinav endured mental torture from his wife and others.

As the investigation continues, the exact cause of Abhinav's death remains uncertain. Police are working to uncover the events that led to this tragedy and understand the motivations behind his actions.

Abhinav Singh, known by his stage name 'Juggernaut,' was a key figure in the Odia rap scene. He earned recognition with his hit song Cuttack Anthem, which highlighted his lyrical skills and deep connection to his roots. Singh's music blended local cultural elements with contemporary rap, addressing social issues while celebrating Odia identity. Collaborations with local artists like MC Tor (Tanmay Sahoo) helped elevate the hip-hop movement in Odisha, gaining him a growing fanbase through platforms like YouTube and Spotify.

Abhinav Singh's life was marred by controversy. In August 2024, he faced serious allegations from Ollywood actress Supriya, who accused him of preventing her from launching a music video and allegedly assaulting her. This incident garnered significant media attention and legal scrutiny. Additionally, Singh was involved in another incident at an OYO hotel in Bhubaneswar, following a complaint from his wife, leading authorities to seal the hotel where he was staying.
