Neha Kakkar breaks silence amid allegations with a supportive post for brother Tony
Professionally, Neha made headlines in March after she broke down on stage during her Melbourne concert and apologized to fans for being late. She claimed the event organizers failed to provide basic arrangements. However, the organizers denied her claims, calling them false.
Amid all this, Neha recently showed support for her brother Tony Kakkar’s new song on Instagram. Interestingly, the song’s lyrics hint that betrayal often comes from the people closest to us.
The singer took a video from Tony Kakkar’s new song, Koi Apna Hoga. She wrote, “I would call this #TonyKakkarGenre ." She also took to her Instagram Story to share a snippet from the song. The lyrics of Koi Apna Hoga are, “Tere girne ke peeche koi tera apna hoga, yeh jaankar bhi rishta tujhko rakhna hoga."
Neha Kakkar breaks silence with amid Melbourne concert controversy
This is Neha’s first social media post since facing backlash over her Melbourne concert incident, where she was accused of lying about poor event arrangements.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, rapper and event host Pace D addressed the controversy, “I spoke to Preet Pabla bhai, who was the event organiser. I asked him everything. He’s a very nice and genuine person. That’s when I found out that she didn’t arrive on time and there were multiple delays. He told me that she kept saying things like, ‘I won’t go now; I won’t do this.’"
Backing rapper Pace D's claims, Bikram Singh Randhawa, one of the organizers, stated, “The crowd was ready and cheering, expecting her to come on stage. But she showed up at 10 PM, that’s two and a half hours late since the scheduled time was 7:30 PM.”
Refusal to perform
Pace D also alleged that the singer had instructed the team, “Only 700 people? Until more people come in and this place fills up, I’m not going to perform.”
Singer's side of the story
The 'Laila' singer responded to the backlash by blaming the event organisers for the chaos. She said they ran away without paying their dues, didn’t arrange food, water, or hotel stay for her team, and didn’t properly communicate about the event details.
She also added that the sound check was delayed because the vendors hadn’t been paid by the organisers.
