Tejas Menon and Nikhil D’souza are regular features on the indie music scene in the city. Tonight, May 13, catch the four musicians on stage at the third anniversary of the monthly All Starr Jamm gig, as the two-storey Jack & Jones on Linking Road is transformed into a live performance venue.
Says Tejas, “All of them are exceptional musicians. The theme is the 1950s vibe and we are planning on doing a mash-up of our stuff. I am playing 2-3 songs from my set at Balcony TV and the Gear house Sessions. From what I remember, the last All Starr Jamm was a mad night and tonight being the third anniversary edition, it will be bigger and madder!”
Says Nikhil, “I have been writing new material with songwriter Jeff Cohen. From that big lot, I will be playing Simple Kind Of Love and a couple of my original. Warren and I will do a medley of some of the music from the 90s that we heard when we were growing up. It should be a pretty interesting night because everybody will be on stage together.”
After foraying into playback singing with
Bebaak from Filmistaan, Nikhil’s voice will be heard this year on songs like
Khoya Khoya in upcoming film Hero and the title song of
Phir Se.
