Her songs used to make their day. People used to forget their sorrows after listening to her sing. This will never happen again ever and it is a very big thing that we have lived in the same country as her and we have lived in her era. This is a big thing for us.” Brijesh is known for his songs in films like Mukkabaaz, Badhaai Ho, Lucknow Central, Munna Michael, Shubh Mangal Savdhan, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui and others.
Music director, singer and composer for hindi films, Vipin Patwa says, “I’m remembering the song, ‘Naam Ghum Jayega’ today. I don’t know why but this song is coming to me and I feel the wordings of this song which says that physically a person if not present his/her things remain. And Lata Ji has left her voice behind. Every person related to music will definitely know her and if you see in the entire last century she has been an integral part of the music scene. Whenever such a big artiste leaves us people always remember them by their creativity and skills.” Vipin has worked in films like Main Aur Charles, De De Pyaar De, Bhuj, The Girl on the Train, Bollywood Diaries and others. Talking about some of her favourite numbers he mentions, “Name Ghum Jayega Chehra Ye Badal Jayega, Lag Ja Gale Se, Tere Bina Zindagi Se Koi.”
Brijesh adds that it is a very sad day and that he cannot express the feeling with mere words. “There is a lot of pain within me. It feels like like my soul is missing. I feel that the musical team in those days were definitely good but if there wouldn't have been a singer like her then to bring out hits would have been tough. There have been and there are so many people singing but Lata Ji will never happen again. My heartfelt condolences to her family. It feels like I have lost a parent today,” he says.
