The music for Rituparno Ghosh’s upcoming film, “Noukadubi”, which stars Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jisshu Sengupta, and Sen sisters Raima and Riya, was released onboard a boat, MV Ahalya, on the Ganges this weekend.
“This is Rituda’s first film which has playback with the actors lip-syncing the numbers. Usually, in his movies you have the songs playing in the background.

And what better way to release the music for “Noukadubi” other than on the Ganges?” asked singer Paroma Banerjee.
The music has been composed by Sanjoy Das and Raja Narayan Deb. Even as the boat sailed along Prinsep Ghat, Outram Ghat and Ahiritola Ghat, among others, producer Subhash Ghai said, “I’m very proud to be associated to this film. The Hindi version of this film, “Kashmakash”, will hit theatres on May 20. Gulzarsaab has penned the lyrics for the film.”
