Music composer duo Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya enthralled Delhi recently when they performed at Music Cravings, a fundraiser concert for animal welfare, at Siri Fort Auditorium recently.

ROCK ON: Music composer duo Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya enthralled Delhi recently when they performed at Music Cravings, a fundraiser concert for animal welfare, at Siri Fort Auditorium recently.
Organized by People for Animals (PFA), an NGO run by Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Maneka Gandhi, the event also saw Delhi-based rock band Karma play popular English, Hindi and Punjabi songs.

Vocalist Prateek sang Pichhle Saat Dino Mein, Tu Hai Asmaan Mein, Main Tenu Samjhavan Ki and Summer of 69, among other songs. Vaishali, the female vocalist of the band, rocked the audience with her rendition of Jugni Ji. "The Delhi audience is very hard to entertain. We keep pushing ourselves in order to meet their expectations," said Prateek. The performance was peppered with many solo acts by the band members.

DELHI DEBUT: People came in hordes to watch Sachin-Jigar, who were accompanied by Priya, Jigar's wife, as the trio sang Saibo, Jeene Laga Hoon, Johnny Johnny, Nacho Sare G Phad Ke and Jee Karda, among other numbers. "Though we've visited Delhi before, this is the first time we are performing here. Everyone in the country loves Bollywood music, so we are expecting a good response," Sachin told us before the gig. Apart from praising the musicians, Maneka also asked the audience to be compassionate towards animals in the severe Delhi winter.
