Singers who turned actors

Talent has many facets to it and some singers who were pretty successful in their music careers, decided to take things to the next level by acting as well. The latest singer to take that leap might well be 'Skyfall' hitmaker Adele, who has been approached for the Dusty Springfield (a popular English pop singer and record producer active from the late 1950s to the 1990s) biopic.But she’s not the only one. And if she does sign on, she is in great company. Here are some of the other singers who are also actors.
The diva made her acting debut as Foxxy Cleopatra as early as 2002 in the comedy, Goldmember. She followed it up with 2006’s Dreamgirls, in a role supposedly inspired by Diana Ross. That same year, she did The Pink Panther with Steve Martin. Mrs Jay Z then made news as the dutiful wife to Idris Elba in Obsessed. More roles are sure to follow.
