Speaking about the wedding celebrations, she says, “We had six functions - a court marriage at home, followed by a wedding announcement party, haldi, mehndi, dholki, nikah, and reception. Our marriage is a blend of love and arrangement. Daanish and I have known each other since our childhood. He is and will always be my best friend. What sets him apart is his ability to love selflessly. He is one of the most hardworking people I know, and his patience is admirable. So, he gets what he wants.”
Recalling their growing-up years, Daanish says, “I can still vividly remember her donning those plastic glasses and speaking adorably. As kids, I would playfully tease her quite a bit, which she hated (laughs!).”

The overwhelming love and warmth shared during the celebration were amazing.”

Remembering her grandfather, Umarah says, “Being a part of his legacy sometimes feels surreal. I feel extremely fortunate and proud. He was extremely passionate about his work, and taught us to give our 100 percent in everything we did while maintaining humility.”
