As today is his death anniversary, Lata, too showed him respect by sharing a video of herself singing freedom fighter's poem Jayostute. On Twitter, she wrote, "Aaj Swatantrya veer Savarkar ji ki punyatithi hai.Main unke vyaktitva ko aur desh prem ko koti koti pranam karti hun."
Moreover, the veteran singer has decided to donate Rs 1 Crore to the Indian soldiers on her father’s death anniversary.
