Kanika Kapoor landed in the eye of storm when she revealed about being tested positive with
Covid-19
. The
singer
faced a lot of flak on social media for allegedly hiding her travel details and partying, posing a risk to others. According to ANIL, her sample was taken again after her family raised concern about the initial test reports.
While the singer had claimed in an interview that her room was dusty, Dr RK Dhiman, Director of the
Sanjay Gandhi
Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), had dismissed the same and told Ahmedabad Mirror, “The
hospital
staff at her disposal is for a four-hour shift during which they cannot eat or drink because they wear anti-infection equipment. Every four hours one team is “donned off” their gear and another shift takes over. The room is cleaned every four hours. Kanika Kapoor’s claims are all baseless.”
He had also stated that the singer is being provided with a Gluten-free diet. “Kanika Kapoor has been provided the best that is possible in a hospital. She must co-operate as a patient and not throw tantrums of a star. She is being provided gluten-free diet from the hospital kitchen. She has to co-operate with us to help herself,” the director had said in an official statement.
