Kailash Kher: Prakash Alokan is my humble salutation through music

Today evening another virtual concert titled ‘Prakash Alokan’ or ‘dispelling the darkness spread by Coronavirus’, will be held on social media.Singer Kailash Kher will go live for the concert from his home from 9.10 pm tonight for 30 Minutes. He said, “Even though we are in our homes, we are not alone. The country’s 1.3 billion people are together during this lockdown period.Prakash Alokan is my humble salutation through music.”The Hon’ble Prime Minister in his speech had urged the country to switch off their lights at home and light a candle, diya, flashlight or mobile flash at their doorsteps and balconies on April 5, at 9 pm for 9 minutes, adding that we have to dispel the darkness spread by Coronavirus. Heeding to this clarion call, 1.3 billion Indians will stand in solidarity – a tribute to discipline and spirit of service the nation has exhibited during the lockdown.And keeping this mind Kher has come forward with the initiative to salute the spirit of thenation.Kher adds, “Since my virtual concert was announced, there has been an overwhelming outpouring of support from the industry, the media and the people. Several artistes and musicians have expressed their willingness to join the movement Prakash Alokan and spread the light through our music and art forms. I am grateful to ISRA (Indian Singers Rights Association) who has come out in support of this noble endeavor. My team and I are now planning a series of virtual concerts that will see the nation’s artists coming together in an unprecedented show of support.
