Jubin Nautiyal: I’ve got offers to act, par mujhe usme mazaa nahi aata

Jubin Nautiyal, known for songs like Raataan Lambiyan (Shershaah) and Akh Lad Jaave (Love Yatri), has been a part of many music videos, but the singer says he isn’t too fond of acting. He shares, “Just because I have received offers to act due to my popularity and looks – some from prominent people in the industry – doesn’t mean that I will become an actor. Mujhe usme mazaa nahi aata.”
Jubin has featured in multiple videos of his songs, including Khushi Jab Bhi Teri, O Aasman Wale, Humnava Mere, Dotara with Mouni Roy, Mast Nazron Se with Nikita Dutta and others."Initially, it was extremely challenging to act in music videos. What I cannot do in my personal life, they wanted me to do all that on screen! I was stepping out of my comfort zone in many ways. Much later I became okay with it,” says the singer.
His chemistry with Nikita Dutta in the video had sparked rumours about them being together but they both dusted that off and swore they were 'just good friends'. He says, "Dancing in front of the camera was not easy and on-screen romance was always very challenging for me. Maine personal life mein kabhi itna dance nahi kiya hai jitna mujhse videos mein karvaya hai. Main wohi karna chahunga jo mein nibha paunga, aur main sirf singing nibha paata hu. I have trained myself for years to become a singer. If I switch to acting, it will not be a desire that comes from within.”
He adds, “I respect actors and respect acting a lot. In a music video, there is only a three-day commitment, and you go and do it with ease. Acting in films is tough.”
