Punjabi singer and music producer, Jazzy B who recently collaborated with Honey Singh for an online song especially for New Years, This Party Gettin Hot, has come out in defense of Honey.
In wake of the tragic death of Nirbhaya, the Delhi gang rape victim, Honey’s show for New Years in a Gurgaon hotel was called off due to protests, followed by an FIR in Lucknow by an IPS officer, over the lyrics of songs being misogynistic.

However, his professional friend, Jazzy B denies anything in Honey song’s being anti-women.
“I don’t understand what is provocative about his lyrics. One, the show was called off by Honey himself, not under pressure from protestors. Two, he isn’t singing of things that are fictitious,” says Jazzy, “His songs simply mirror the happenings of modern society, where girls ‘are’ drinking and smoking etc. Nobody is wearing salwar-kameez these days. The only difference is, others try to hide these things about our contemporary society but Honey tells the truth.”
