Imman plans to be selective

Music director Imman might have been known as the go-to guy for directors of commercial masala films, but all that could change post Mynaa, which has won the composer critical raves.
“After the success of Giri, I was flooded with commercial films and I couldn’t refuse them at that point in my career as I was just 19 years old and hadn’t established myself in the industry then,”says Imman.
But now, the composer feels it is time to change tracks. “Mynaa has been a refreshing experience and it has made me introspect the way I want my career to head. So, I have not signed any film after Mynaa. Once I complete my commitments that were made before this (which include Selva's Muriyadi and Arjun’s Vallakottai), I have planned to be selective about the projects that I take on,” reveals the composer. Quite a sensible move, we say.
