, says, "Whenever I am here, I prefer staying at a friend’s residence which is just opposite to National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI). As one knows, there is a lot of pollution in Mumbai, but here I like to do early morning jogging in NBRI as it has thousands of various kind of plants and trees. The aroma of plants there is such that I feel rejuvenated. And from a creative aspect, it does wonders for me."

Keeping up his promise of promoting the UP folk music, Vipin who holds an M Phil. degree in music from Delhi University on ghazals and their origins and growth, says, "I have met a few people in the administration regarding holding musical performances at various cultural events that are organised by the administration and that I would love to be a part of such events. Though nothing has been finalized yet I am hopeful that I will get a chance to promote UP folk music."
Having recorded with top singers of India as well as Pakistan, Vipin, who had a few years back said in an interview that music has become global and talent is beyond nationality, amid calls for a ban on Pakistani artistes from working in the Hindi film industry. After the Pulwama attack, a similar series of events have occurred. Vipin Patwa, who has worked with the neighbouring country's singers like Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, now has a change of heart. "It’s not about being an artist or anything else, the nation comes first, ab paani sir se upar ja chukka hai. Cutting off of cultural ties among many other things was the need of the hour."
