In a desperate atempt to get their hands on tickets for his extra London tour dates when they went onsale on May 20, fans of George Michael wound up crashing the website.

In a desperate atempt to get their hands on tickets for his extra London tour dates when they went onsale on May 20, fans of George Michael wound up crashing the website.
Michael announced his plans earlier this month. His fans thronged to the website to buy tickets for his new Earls Court dates in London on 16 and 17 December, 2011, and prompted the site to crash.

A statement from organisers reads, “The system could not cope with the thousands and thousands of demands from fans desperate to snap up tickets for shows and crashed. It is now back up and running for those who were not able to get through... and tickets are available to purchase for the people who were not successful at getting through the website.”
