Popular singer Arijit Singh recently announced that he will step away from playback singing, leaving fans emotional and reflective. Over the years, he has gifted listeners countless songs that continue to be cherished across the globe. Among his many successful collaborations, one that truly stood out was with Salman Khan. The duo has worked on several projects together, delivering a mix of hit dance numbers and soulful romantic tracks.

However, on January 27, Arijit surprised fans with a heartfelt post on X. He wrote, “Hello, Happy New Year to all. I want to thank you for giving me so much love all these years as listeners. I am happy to announce that I am not gonna be taking any new assignments as a playback vocalist from now on. I am calling it off. It was a wonderful journey.”
Clarifying his future path, he added, “God has been really kind to me. I am a fan of good music and in future will be learning more and do more on my own as a small little artist.”
Reassuring fans, Arijit also said, “I still have to finish some pending commitments and will finish them. So you might get some releases this year. Just to be clear, I won’t stop making music.”
