Music director duo Sachin-Jigar have had a difficult time getting the right catch phrase for one of the songs for their forthcoming films Krantiveer — The Revolution. Their music was ready, a very peppy foot-tapping item number, the lyrics were written by Samir, but they couldn’t find a catchy phrase. “We were frustrated. Eventually, we all got a little irritated and tired.
Then Samirji suggested that we all take a break and go for food. While in the car, he told us that it is best to loosen up a bit and he added ‘thoda firangi paani ka tadka lagaya jaaye’. And I shouted eureka! That was our catch phrase for the item number. Well alcohol does help in some ways,” laughs Sachin. Next day, Samir gave a song, and the lyrics were Firangi paani chad gaya.
Adds Jigar, “The song is hot and its picturisation is hotter. Firangi girls doing nautanki in skimpy clothes worked like a magic. The entire unit was glued to the sets during the shoot. In fact, the assistant cinematographer even forgot to switch on his camera. Eventually, many of the onlookers had to be pulled off the sets to shoot in peace.” The movie that has been produced under the banner of White City Entertainment Pvt. Ltd has been directed by Mehul Kumar, who has also written the story and screenplay. The movie will release on June 25.
