Exclusive! Musician Clinton Cerejo develops new skill set, experiments with video

Last year when most of us stayed put at homes while the pandemic raged on globally, many artistes explored multiple aspects of their creativity.

Musician Clinton Cerejo worked on something he had not done ever before. In an interview with Bombay Times, he says, “I began experimenting with

video

in a much more detailed way than I would otherwise have. I always loved dabbling in video but I think this is the first time I actually conceptualised, directed and edited a music video.”

The musicians gives credit where its due when he says, “Full props to my video team who are technically sound and really helped me achieve the look I had in my head for the video I created.

(Gomes) was great to shoot with. We had produced this version of the song together, so she was totally into the song conceptually and as an actor brought the right emotion to each and every frame. I’m really happy with the final result and I think if this is only the beginning, then it’s a good beginning.”

Bianca adds, “I think I really managed to soul search and find a voice while writing lyrics, something that’s never flowed as easily for me as melodic ideas. But then again as a lyricist too, there’s no better teacher than one’s own life experience and the lockdown certainly gave us a lot to think about and draw from.”
