Balmurali Krishna will be receiving the lifetime achievement award at the hands of Padma Bhushan Vidushi Smt. Girija Devi, during a live musical concert to be held on 6thOctober at Nehru Centre at 6.00 p.m.

Indisputably, he has been responsible for bringing Kashmiri Santoor to Indian Classical Music by imparting the training to his son Pt. Shivkumar Sharma.

The trust is totally dedicated to promoting Great Indian Heritage –Indian Classical Music. For the last 8 years Ugam has been giving scholarships to support young outstanding talent to learn Indian classical music from their Guru’s. It has also been responsible for giving budding talent a platform to perform in front of discerning
audiences to showcase their achievements.
