Creativity cannot be locked down. Pop singer
Dhvani Bhanushali has created a music video at home in just a matter of days. After several popular songs like Dilbar and Vaaste, her latest, Jeetenge Hum, which is winning the love of her fans, is all about staying positive during the lockdown, while also spreading the message of love and hope.
She tells BT, “It all began with
Manoj Muntashir penning the lyrics. Then,
Lijo George
and
DJ Chetas
composed the song and I dubbed it at home. I have set up a basic studio at home with a microphone, laptop, sound card, speakers and headphones. Once the song was ready, the video was conceptualised. The whole exercise took just seven days.” The song, produced by T-Series, is out on digital platforms.
The shoot was a new and fun experience for the
singer
and her family. The terrace, interiors and balcony of their home turned impromptu sets for the video. “The team that conceptualised the video kept guiding us about how to frame shots,” says Dhvani, adding, “I have done my own make-up. I am not great at it, but I tried (laughs!).”
The video begins with the singer reciting a few lines penned by Manoj Muntashir. “We didn’t want to sound preachy, but that part was needed for people to understand what the song is all about. This track is about India and the spirit of nationalism,” she signs off.
