The melodious music album from Nagesh Kukunoors upcoming film 'Dhanak' has been making waves across the country. The soundtrack, composed by Tapas Relia, is infused with local Rajasthani flavours that make for a wonderful blend of musical styles.
Featuring musical heavyweights like Papon, Vibha Saraf, Monali Thakur and the child prodigy Devu Khan Manganiyar on vocals, the uplifting and soulful songs have been written by Manoj Yadav and Mir Ali Husain.
The first track, 'Dum-a-Dum Mast Qalandar', a funky rejig of the evergreen Sufi number, is a unique fusion of Indian and Western harmonies, and a total fan-favourite. Fans are hooked on to the second track, 'Jeene Se Bhi Zyada', many proclaiming it a follow-up to 'Aashayein' from Kukunoors 'Iqbal'.
In an age where auto-tuned remixes rule the roost, the 'Dhanak' soundtrack is said to be full of refreshing sounds that reflects the childrens innocence, joy and wonder. The 'Dhanak' album is available across all music outlets and digital download and streaming portals, exclusively on Junglee Music.
