Bina Kak launches Rajnigandha Shekhawat’s album

Committed to encouraging Rajasthani talent, art and culture, tourism and forest minister Bina Kak recently launched singer Rajnigandha Shekhawat’s second album, “Banna Re – Songs That Inspired Bollywood” on Times Music.
The album features seven of the most popular songs of Rajasthan that have been adapted by Bollywood and made popular in mainstream films.These songs have been sung in their original form in this album.
“I aim to be recognised as the voice of Rajasthan. Our Rajasthani music is used in various movies, and these inspirations become hits with a pan India appeal, but the audience doesn’t know that these songs are adapted from Rajasthan. That’s why I chose seven songs that have been used in mainstream entertainment – from “Morni” in “Lamhe” to “Leta Jajo Ji” in “Bade Miya Chote Miya” to “Kesaria Baalam” in “Lekin”,” said Rajnigandha. The launch was attended by ex-cricketer and Ranji Trophy captain Rajiv Pratap Singh Rathore.
