Macca lovers over the world are gearing up to celebrate the music legend’s 69th birthday. In Delhi, rock band BareFaced Liar is all set to pay tribute to Sir Paul McCartney, one of the greatest musicians in rock history, in their own way. The band will give a live performance at The Stage Manajsa, Hauz Khas on June 18.
The four-member band will enthral the city with a variety of rock ‘n’ roll numbers from The Beatles and relive the magical music that was created by Paul McCartney.
Band members Akshay Chowdhry, Sumant Balakrishnan, Dushyant Purohit and Bhim Kaul are extremely thrilled about this opportunity. “We are trying to rekindle the spirit of Beatlemania and show our love for Paul McCartney. We though singing his all-time hits would be the best tribute on his birthday!” says vocalist Akshay Chowdhry.
Formed in 2002, the band is heavily influenced by Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jimmy Hendrix and Metallica. Two of their tracks 'Glow' and 'Mirage', have received International acclaim as 'Semi Finalists' from the UK Songwriters Contest for 2009 and 2010.
