Badshah opens up about launching his own music channel; Says, 'In the process main lutt gaya'

Badshah, one of the most loved Indian rappers, recently opened up about his entrepreneurial ventures outside of music, how a personal conflict with MTV made him launch his own music channel while trying to enter into the industries for pharmaceuticals and alcohol.

In an interview with The Lallantop, the rapper discussed his journey and the challenges he faced along the way. Badshah revealed that dissatisfaction with a disagreement over song placements with MTV led him to the decision to launch his own music channel, Aho. He stated, "I had a fight with MTV, and out of ego, I decided to start my own channel. It was called Aho."

Apart from the TV channel, Badshah tried his hand at the pharmaceutical business through which he used to sell basic medicines, like paracetamol and antibiotics. This attempt also did not return with profit. "A friend told me that the pharmaceutical business has good money, so I gave it a shot. But it didn't work out, and we had to close that too," Badshah revealed.

This besides trying his hand in the alcohol industry, running a production house, and a clothing line. He explained that he is always on the lookout for avenues that bring newer revenues. "I am interested in creating different income avenues beyond music. I want to see how far I can leverage my brand," he added.
