Popular Pakistani singer Atif Aslam's concert, scheduled for October 15 in Gurgaon, has been called off in the wake of Uri attack. While the district administration has 'advised' the

    "Considering the sentiments of armed forces and soldiers at the frontier, the organizers are advised by the district administration of Gurgaon to defer the Atif Aslam concert," said Deputy Commissioner of Gurgaon, TL Satyaprakash in a statement.

    The statement came hours after the Akil Bhartya Hindu Kranti Dal (ABHKD) advised the Gurgaon district administration not to allow the concert in the city. ABHKD also handed over their memorandum to Satyaprakash on Wednesday, to withdraw the permission granted to Atif Aslam Concert to be held on October 15, to avoid any untoward incident in Gurgaon.

    , National General Secretary, ABHKD said soldiers at the border were falling prey to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism while the Gurgaon administration was inviting guests from the country for petty monetary gains.

    "Every time, the Gurgaon District Administration called Atif Aslam to do concert here, we are against it, if his concert will be allowed in Gurgaon, the district administration will itself be held responsible in any mis-happening in city. We would not allow any shows or films of Pakistani actors to be screened or organised and warned that the administration," Mittal said.

    Days after the Uri attack, Raj Thackrey-led Maharashtra Navanirman Sena had issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Pakistani artistes and actors including Fawad Khan and Ali Zafar, to leave India by September 25 or else they would be 'pushed out'.

    Pakistani singer, Atif Aslam, has made a mark in Bollywood with his impressive romantic numbers. However the singer is all set to explore more in the industry.     Shiv Sena has apparently forced the organisers to cancel Pak singer Atif Aslam's concert scheduled for Saturday (April 25, 2015), says no place for artistes from that country in Pune, reports Pune Mirror. Back in the government as a coalition partner, Shiv Sena, the party that imposed this deprivation on the state, has struck again; and their threats have pressured the Anjaneya Sathe Group to drop their music festival featuring the Pakistani rock star, the report stated. While the artiste himself could not be reached over phone, a representative of the Anjaneya Group, refusing to furnish her name, said to Mirror, "This is a political issue. The Shiv Sena is not allowing us to go ahead with the show. We do not wish to court any political complications and decided to call off the show." She skirted any further discussion on the matter or whether the police had failed to give them the confidence to go ahead, stated the report.
    Further to reports, while the police denied any hand in the event being summarily pulled out, Shiv Sena Pune city president, Vinayak Nimhan, gleefully accepted that his party has been liaising with the men in uniform to eject the much-publicised event. "We had met the deputy commissioner of police and requested that no such programme involving Pakistani artistes should be permitted to happen," he was quoted saying.

    Atif Aslam had cut down on his Bollywood projects in the past two years. The singer, who is back with the song ‘Jeena Jeena…’ from the movie Badlapur, says he enjoyed the two-year break, which helped him focus more on work after coming back.     Atif is the youngest recipient of Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, fourth-highest decoration given to any civilian in Pakistan based on their achievements. About receiving this civilian award, Atif said on a Pakistani talk show that it was unbelievable to have received such honour from the government of Pakistan.
