AR Rahman's punjabi track to rock Olympics inaugural

That the Mozart of Madras will rock London Olympics is old news. What's new is the fact that the legendary musician has let out a secret about his upcoming composition for the prestigious event.
It was being said that AR Rahman and Hollywood filmmaker Danny Boyle will work together to create a part of the score for the opening ceremony of London Olympics 2012.
The musician posted a message on facebook saying, "Clarifying the report on the Olympics track I am composing... It's a track in Punjabi celebrating the Indian influence in the UK. It's a part of a medley in the Olympics opening ceremony, according to Danny Boyle's creative wishes!"
Besides ARR, Illaiyaraaja's song too will be part of the medley of music tracks to be used in the inaugural programme. A Tamil film song composed by the music maestro in the early 1980s - Naanthaan Ungappanda, from Kamal Hassan's film Ram Lakshman, has made it to the playlist.
This means the works of two great musicians will rock the London Olympics!
