Anu Malik, the composer of the song which was released nearly 20 years ago, is thrilled to see his creation trending globally. In a recent interview Malik expressed his happiness and revealed that he feels that his efforts from 2000 are finally being rewarded. Malik said that her daughter, Anmol, showed him the reels from Instagram and said, ‘Papa your song has gone viral.’ The musician told Hindustan Times, "When I was finally getting my reward working on the music for the movie, I must’ve hummed numerous tunes to Sivan saab (director Santosh Sivan) and he rejected them. He was very clear that this music has to be something very different. This was one of the movies where I put in my most hard work in the music. Having SRK and Bebo acted as a big boost of inspiration and having them in the song was like 'sone pe suhaaga'.”

The song 'San Sanana', originally sung by Alka Yagnik, was featured in the popular period drama 'Asoka', starring Kareena Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan. The film delves into the life of the Mauryan emperor, Ashoka the Great. Kapoor's portrayal in the movie, adorned with dark eyeliner and detailed patterns on her face and body, garnered love and appreciation from audiences.
