Born in Delhi, music director-turned-singer Anand Raj Anand left his family business to pursue his musical dreams in Mumbai in 1995.
An engineer by profession, he quit it all for Bollywood, where he got his first break in 1996, when he composed and sang for the film “Masoom”. The song “Chhota Bachcha Jaan Ke” from this became an instant hit. He was also appreciated for his music in “Kaante”.

Recently, he also performed during the Commonwealth Games in Delhi. He says, “I came to Delhi and met the CM, and gave her a copy of my songs. She heard it and asked me to meet the organising committee. They heard these and included my song as one of the theme numbers for the Games.”
