Kher went ahead to meet him, not realizing that he had crossed the border. When one of our officers made him realize that he was on the other side of the border, the Pakistani officer gave it an okay and said 'No problem, music knows no boundary.' and shook hands with the singer. The crowd from both the sides that had so gathered started cheering and applauding at this point, making the atmosphere jovial and amicable.
Kailash Kher then said, "Aaj hi aapke aur hamaare singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan ke sath hamara ek dosti ka gaana release hua hai, for the film Desi Kattey." (Our song from the film 'Desi Kattey' which is based on friendship has just released today, in collaboration with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan).
