Akon comes to Mumbai

When Black Eyed Peas sang Tonight’s Gonna Be a Good Night, they could well have been referring to this big night!
For starters, there’s King Khan co-hosting with Sachiin Joshi, the principal sponsor of his IPL team, a party to celebrate the third season of the Twenty20 tournament. Add to that a high-profile guest list consisting of Bollywood stars, international cricketers, business honchos and those from the fashion frat.And the icing on the cake — international R&B singer Akon, who will perform live at the event. Yes, this will be the singer’s first performance in Mumbai!
It is already known that Akon will be lending his voice for a song in SRK’s upcoming action blockbuster RA1. Word has it that King Khan and the Smack That singer have become good buddies, so much so that Akon is willing to fly down to India just for this ‘special appearance’. And while in Mumbai, he might record his number for RA1 too. The singer-songwriter and record producer will belt out his all-time hits including Smack That, Right Now (Na Na Na) and Beautiful, amongst others, at this event. Monday night sure will be ‘Smack That’ loaded... Howzzat?!
