Talking about Delhi and Mumbai, Akhil says that both the cities are his own. “I’ve been travelling between Delhi and Mumbai for almost six years now. Delhi is like my home and Mumbai is where I work. It’s chill there, but Delhi is like a comfort zone for me. It’s not right now though. The pollution here is really bad,” he says.

The singer believes that he has a special blessing from God, which gives him all the love that he’s received from people. “I am a Delhi boy and I started this whole Sufi-Rock genre 10 years ago. I feel that I have a special blessing from God, and when that happens, wherever you perform, it will be great.”

Akhil adds that he enjoys open-air gigs. “Anyone and everyone can walk in at these gigs, and they usually start and end on time. People can come, enjoy, and go back. Also, the audience here has people who have mostly heard me sing but never seen me live. They see me only once or twice a year. So I look forward to that.”
